The Nike Kobe 5 Protro ¡°5 Rings¡± is a special release by Nike Basketball that honors Kobe Bryant¡¯s fifth NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. The ¡°5 Rings¡± design originally released in 2010 following the Lakers¡¯ latest NBA Finals victory, and Nike brought back the colorway as part of its tribute to Bryant¡¯s career and popular fifth signature shoe in 2020. Accomplishments tied to Kobe¡¯s legendary career are etched into the purple Hyperfuse upper of the ¡°5 Rings.¡± Yellow accenting highlights the detailing that would otherwise form the forefoot and eyelet overlays of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro. Elsewhere, a yellow Swoosh can be found on either side and Bryant¡¯s ¡°Sheath¡± logo appears on the purple tongue. Tonal mesh detailing on the collar and a purple TPU heel clip with Bryant¡¯s signature in yellow text add to the shoe¡¯s distinguished Lakers theme.
