The Nike Air Foamposite One Doernbecher 2019 is a re-issue of the coveted colorway from the 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle collection. The Doernbecher Freestyle collection is the result of a longstanding partnership between the Portland, Oregon children¡¯s hospital and Nike. Patients at the Doernbecher hospital are given the opportunity to design unique colorways of their favorite sneakers. Few Doernbecher Nikes have been more memorable than this eye-catching Foamposite One by Elijah Diggins. The young patient battled Leukemia, which is now in remission, and created a classic look for the basketball shoe, featuring a bright red and black color palette with an abstract graphic across the upper and a half black, half red outsole. The colorway returned in 2019 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection.
